I am the scanner. The passive infrared apparatus.

I am the information source, transmitter,
channel, receiver and destination. The conduit that encodes and decodes the flow which constitutes our unified field of experience.

I am the author, subject, and audience. The
collapse of space and time. The abolition of convention and the rejection of language syntax. My material, the central nervous system, in all of its extended technological forms.

I am the scanner, surveying the lateral rifts that comprise our contemporary moment. Passively observing the interrelated nature of the human experience. Dreaming of destruction as a form of creation.

I am the scanner, exposing the formal dematerialization of the image. Traversing the distance from its original form and referent. Sifting through the decay and collapse in previous modes of communication and their monolithic influence on the past and present.

I am the scanner, questioning how fluidity and immediacy augment the manner in which we assign significance and meaning to the cultural objects that we create, exchange and consume.

I am the seeker of hidden knowledge, ancient cosmologies and
mythologies. The anomaly, the free radical, the glitch.

I am the scanner. I see into me, in to you, into us. I see both clearly and darkly.

I am blessed and cursed again like I have been continually.
